Pinellas County Cuts Property Taxes

Pinellas County commissioners approved FY2027 general fund millage at ~4.5 mills, the countywide low in ~37 yr and the fifth cut in six yr.
The county portion of most property tax bills stayed under one-third, and the adopted rate finished $16M and lost dozens of positions, the sheriff's office trimmed $7M and 10 vacancies, and recovery aid stayed intact.
